We’re Marios and Marina, your hosts at Lithos. You’ll get to know us through the small moments of your stay: a welcome, a conversation over breakfast, a suggestion for exploring the island or a little help when you need it. We want you to feel at ease and to know there are people here who care about you.

Marios’s story

I grew up in Mykonos Town. One childhood memory has stayed with me: walking a visitor who had lost his way to Fabrika, because I didn’t yet know enough English to explain the directions. I remember the relief on his face when we arrived. It was a small moment, but it captures something that still matters to me today: helping someone feel at home in an unfamiliar place.

Lithos began as my own vision. I wanted to create a place in Mykonos where hospitality would have that personal touch. The hotel was built on family land in Agios Ioannis, with my parents’ encouragement and support, and opened its doors in June 2012.

A life together, a welcome we share

Marina has been beside me since we were nineteen. The hotel was my dream, but her decision to support me in it is part of the story of Lithos.

Today, we welcome our guests together. Each in our own way, we share the same care for how you spend your days with us. These everyday connections are the part of our hospitality we hope you’ll remember when you return home.

Why Spyros & Flora?

Spyros and Flora are my parents. We named the hotel in their honour, in gratitude for their support when we were starting out.

Our two children share their names. For our family, “Spyros & Flora” connects three generations and means much more than the name above the hotel door.

Lithos means “stone” in Greek: something simple, grounded and enduring. Here, on the quieter side of Mykonos, our story continues through the people we meet and welcome each season.
