At Lithos by Spyros & Flora, a small family-run property in Mykonos, we aim to operate with respect for the island, the local community, and our guests. We continuously improve our practices through realistic steps, shaped by each season’s needs.
What we do in practice (where possible)
• Energy: We use LED lighting across most areas and follow energy-saving practices. Rooms are equipped with a key-card system to help manage electricity use.
• Water: We have implemented water-saving solutions (e.g., flow reducers / low-flow mechanisms where available).
• Towels & linen: Linen and towel changes are provided daily, and upon request we can adjust the frequency (e.g., fewer changes) to help reduce water and energy use.
• Waste & packaging: We aim to reduce unnecessary packaging in our supplies and manage waste responsibly.
• Local community: We support local suppliers and professionals whenever possible.
• Outdoor areas: We maintain our outdoor spaces responsibly and, where feasible, avoid unnecessary chemical interventions.
How guests can help
Small choices make a difference. During your stay, you can help by:
• Turning off the A/C and lights when leaving the room
• Requesting fewer towel/linen changes if you prefer
• Using water responsibly
• Disposing of waste properly (as local facilities allow)
• Respecting quiet hours and the local environment
Our people
• We maintain a safe and respectful workplace, with equal treatment and dignity.
• We do not tolerate discrimination and encourage open communication so any concerns can be addressed promptly and fairly.
What we aim to improve
• Clearer guest information (water/energy saving and responsible behavior)
• Small, gradual upgrades that reduce our footprint over time
